Xi Jinping and Mongolian President Khürelsukh exchanged congratulatory messages on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia
On October 16, President Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages with Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia.
In his message, Xi emphasized the significance of the two countries as important neighbors, noting that Mongolia was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic ties with the new China. He remarked that over the past 75 years, both sides have consistently upheld a spirit of friendship and actively deepened mutually beneficial cooperation across various fields, bringing tangible benefits to their peoples. Xi expressed his commitment to the development of China-Mongolia relations and his willingness to work with President Khurelsukh to build a community with a shared future, ensuring the stability and longevity of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
In response, Khurelsukh acknowledged the steady development of friendship and mutual trust between Mongolia and China over the past 75 years and emphasized the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership. He expressed his desire to collaborate with Xi to align Mongolia’s “Steppe Road” development strategy with the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to contribute to the growth of both countries and enhance the well-being of their peoples.
On the same day, Premier Li Qiang also exchanged congratulatory messages with Mongolian Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene. Li stated that China is eager to work with Mongolia to use the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties as a new starting point to advance modernization together and achieve win-win cooperation. Oyun-Erdene expressed his commitment to further deepen the traditional friendship between Mongolia and China and to create a bright future for bilateral relations.
