Taiwan Business District in Quanzhou, Fujian Province holds cultural tourism economic development conference to launch cultural tourism brand
During a recent event in Quanzhou, Fujian, a culinary journey unfolded as the “Zheng He Family Feast” showcased a delightful blend of tradition and innovation. On October 24, attendees were introduced to an array of dishes, including ancient bridge oyster omelets, pan-seared red caviar sturgeon, and fish skewers with a unique twist.
The “Zheng He Family Feast” highlights the rich local ingredients from the Quanzhou Taiwan Investment Zone, featuring delicacies like Baixi small octopus, Luoyang Bridge oysters, and Takou red caviar sturgeon. By employing innovative cooking techniques, the chefs have created a gathering of flavors that celebrates the region’s maritime bounty.
That same day, the Quanzhou Taiwan Investment Zone held the 2024 Cultural and Tourism Economic Development Conference, where the “Zheng He Family Feast” was officially launched. The event also marked the awarding of certificates to the first 12 tasting establishments associated with the feast. Notably, renowned singer Tan Jing was appointed as a cultural ambassador for Luoyang Bridge, further emphasizing the region’s commitment to cultural promotion.
In addition, a project aimed at creating a national-level coastal resort in the Baxian Guohai area was announced during the conference. This ambitious initiative will encompass family vacations, educational travel, business meetings, wellness retreats, nature sightseeing, popular social media sites, and artistic beach experiences. The conference also saw the signing of ten cultural tourism projects, with a total investment of 6.8 billion yuan.
The Quanzhou Taiwan Investment Zone, situated in a historically rich and vibrant area, is recognized for its unique advantages, including its historical bridges, beautiful bay, navigable rivers, central lakes, and diverse gardens. Currently, efforts are being made to enhance the cultural tourism industry and expand the reach of the “Blue Bay: Dream Domain” brand.
Su Yanhui, the secretary of the Party Working Committee for the Quanzhou Taiwan Investment Zone, shared plans for upcoming projects, including the construction of the Song and Yuan Dynasty Cultural City and a creative town centered around the Luoyang Bay heritage, aiming to revive the historical significance of the ancient Luoyang ferry. The initiative will also connect coastal resources such as Baxian Guohai, Yusha Bay, Moon Bay, and Guishan Bay to promote their unified identity under the “Blue Bay: Dream Domain” tourism brand.
