On October 15, 2023, the Guangzhou Municipal Financial Office announced that the Overseas Comprehensive Service Center at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is now officially operational. This upgraded center offers a one-stop service guide for foreign visitors, providing multilingual assistance 24/7 in areas such as payment, communication, transportation, and cultural tourism, particularly in support of the 136th Canton Fair.

Located prominently in the International Arrivals Hall of Terminal 2 at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, the “Overseas Comprehensive Service Center” is hard to miss. According to staff members, the center is staffed by professionals fluent in foreign languages and familiar with international business, ensuring that foreign visitors receive expert and authoritative guidance. The center is integrated with existing service counters for currency exchange, communication services, transportation tickets, and tourism consultations, creating a cohesive support system for international arrivals.

Directly opposite the Comprehensive Service Center is a currency exchange point. Within the T1 and T2 terminals, there are a total of 10 currency exchange locations providing 24/7 services, allowing for cash exchanges in over 40 currencies including USD, EUR, and JPY. Additionally, ATMs throughout the airport offer round-the-clock cash withdrawal services, supporting major foreign bank cards such as VISA, MasterCard, and JCB.

Know that more than 300 shops in Baiyun International Airport now accept a wide range of payment methods, including cash, domestic and foreign bank cards, Alipay, and WeChat. This integration greatly enhances the consumer experience for foreign visitors from arrival to departure.

In the airport’s Terminal 2, an international SIM card sales point allows foreign visitors to purchase short-term cards using their passports, addressing their needs for making calls, accessing the internet, and using ride-sharing or food delivery apps during their stay.

Furthermore, at service windows located in the Airport Express ticketing area and at the Airport North and South metro stations, incoming travelers can access convenient travel consultation services. These facilities cater to foreign visitors’ payment habits, allowing them to purchase tickets directly with their international bank cards.

Additionally, the Guangzhou transit visa-free consultation services offer international tourists a complimentary day tour of the city. This tour highlights Guangzhou’s rich history and culture, providing free transport, English-speaking guides, access to attractions, and lunch for visitors eager to explore the city.

As of October 13, the center reported that it successfully assisted 381 foreign travelers with various arrival-related issues.
