Fuzhou Tingjiang Federation of America celebrates its 12th anniversary

Recently, the United Association of Fujian Tingjiang in the United States celebrated its 12th anniversary in Flushing. This special event also commemorated the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and marked the inauguration of the sixth-term officers. Nearly a thousand community leaders from Fujian and local residents gathered to honor this significant occasion, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere.

In his speech, Association President Lin Xin highlighted that the organization’s mission, established 12 years ago, was to unite the people of Tingjiang, preserve and promote traditional culture, and create a platform for mutual support and交流. He took a moment to reflect on the achievements of the past 12 years, expressing his appreciation for founding president Zheng Yanyong, various senior leaders, the dedication of council members, and the generous backing from Tingjiang residents and other community groups across the U.S.

Lin underscored that the organization has made considerable progress in various areas, including community development, serving its members, defending the legal rights of Chinese citizens, supporting the development of their homeland, fighting against the pandemic, and nurturing friendly exchanges between China and the U.S.
