-2024 Chinese Cultural Paradise – South Korea Busan Camp- concluded successfully

On October 26th, the 14-day “2024 Chinese Cultural Paradise – Busan Camp” successfully concluded in Busan, South Korea.

At the closing ceremony held on the afternoon of the 24th, Chen Ribiao, the Chinese Consul General in Busan, expressed his heartfelt congratulations on the event’s successful conclusion. He extended gratitude to the Chongqing Overseas Friendship Association and the local Chinese community schools in Busan, while also commending the achievements of the camp.

Chen encouraged the Chinese schools in the area to maintain close communication with the Chongqing Overseas Friendship Association, advocating for the establishment of structured collaborative exchanges between local and domestic schools. His hope is to further foster youth exchanges and cultural interactions between China and South Korea. He urged students to act as young ambassadors of goodwill through Chinese culture, strengthening cultural ties and deepening mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations.

Yu Xintao, Chairman of the Busan Overseas Chinese Federation, expressed gratitude for the hard work of the Chongqing teaching team. He encouraged the children to cherish this precious learning experience and expressed anticipation for more cultural exchange opportunities in the future.

Zhang Xiulan, Principal of the Busan Chinese Community School, expressed her eagerness for the students to showcase their achievements. She believes that everyone has gained a wealth of knowledge during the two weeks and thanked the Chongqing teachers for their dedicated efforts.

A representative from the Chongqing Overseas Friendship Association noted that during the event, students had the chance to learn about Chinese culture through Chinese language, martial arts, calligraphy, and more. They experienced the charm of Chinese culture from various perspectives and planted the seeds of Chinese cultural appreciation in their hearts. He is confident that these seeds will bloom into cultural exchanges in the future.

Chongqing’s teaching representatives reflected on their two-week teaching experience and expressed their reluctance to part ways with the students, hoping for future reunions. Student representatives also took the opportunity to thank their teachers for the valuable cultural experiences and diverse curriculum they provided.

As a gesture of goodwill, Chongqing Normal University and Huazhong Middle School, recognized as national-level bases for Chinese language education, presented calligraphy works and paper art collages to the community schools, wishing to collaborate in nurturing the younger generation together.

During the final performance, the students put on a unique showcase that included their paper-cutting, printmaking, and calligraphy works. Audience members were not only entertained but also immersed in the distinctive charm of traditional Chinese arts.
