Meat in a school cafeteria in Kunming gave off a peculiar smell. Officials- Seized the ingredients and opened an investigation.

On October 16, around 12:30 PM, the Guandu District Market Supervision Administration and the Guandu District Education and Sports Bureau responded promptly after receiving reports about foul-smelling pork at the Changfeng School cafeteria in Kunming, Yunnan Province. Upon initial investigation, officials discovered that the pork intended for processing had an unusual odor. As a precaution, they promptly sealed off the cafeteria’s food supplies and initiated testing and tracing procedures.

Currently, both the school and the involved business are under investigation, and the cafeteria has suspended all meal services. The two departments are committed to conducting a thorough legal investigation to ensure the safety of food in schools.
