2024 Xianghe Huanxi Free Clinic will be held on October 20
The International Buddhist Light Association’s Arcadia Chapter is partnering with USC Arcadia Hospital (formerly known as Mei Yi Mei Hospital) to host the 2024 “Peace and Joy” free clinic event on Sunday, October 20, from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM. This event is completely free of charge, and attendees will be treated to refreshments and complimentary gifts. The location for the event is USC Arcadia Hospital, 300 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91007.
This collaborative event has been running for 22 years, providing services to over 500 members of the community each year.
This year’s health screenings include tests for liver and kidney function, thyroid function, cholesterol, diabetes, and a total of 24 biochemical blood tests. Additional services will feature hearing screenings, eye examinations, flu vaccine administration, blood pressure checks, dementia and mental state assessments, body fat measurements, osteoporosis screenings, carotid artery stroke screenings, nutritional consultations, medical consultations, and cancer consultations.
It’s important to note that the dementia mental state screening requires participants to be 55 years or older. Those with egg allergies should avoid the flu vaccine. Please be aware that any changes to the available services will not be announced on the day of the event. Priority will be given to uninsured individuals or those with low income. Limited testing will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies run out. All testing activities are available only on the event day, and no appointments or pre-registrations will be accepted. The clinic is open to individuals aged 18 and over.
